A SUNDAY IN SEPTEMBER is an all-day festival of progressive music that showcases some of the most talented and innovative bands in the genre, ranging from the classic 1970s era to the modern day. The festival is a celebration of all things progressive, from intricate instrumental passages to soaring vocal melodies, and everything in between.

DISTRICT 97 are undoubtedly the most musically adventurous rock band in the world to feature an American Idol Top 10 Female Finalist. Since 2008, this quintet from Chicago has melded an adventurous, uncompromising instrumental prowess with the look, sound, and stage presence of vocalist Leslie Hunt. Through world tours and a stream of studio and live releases, the band has garnered a worldwide fanbase; Mike Portnoy (drummer of Dream Theater/Transatlantic) described them as “one of the most unique bands in modern Prog!” A fifth album is due this year, and A SUNDAY IN SEPTEMBER will be their ONLY UK SHOW!

THE ENID have been at the forefront of the progressive rock movement for over 40 years, incorporating elements of classical, rock, jazz, and folk, and characterized by grandiose orchestration and complex arrangements. Despite facing numerous setbacks and obstacles throughout their career, including financial difficulties and founder Robert John Godfrey's brush with Parkinson's disease, The Enid continues to create and perform music that is beloved by their dedicated fanbase. They remain a unique and innovative force in the world of progressive rock.

ANDY TILLISON & MATT STEVENS bring their unique blend of progressive rock and experimental music to the stage. Tillison, the founder and frontman of prog titans The Tangent, is known for his witty lyrics and complex arrangements, while Stevens from The Fierce And The Dead is a master of the guitar, blending elements of folk, jazz, and rock into his playing. Together, they create a sound that is both challenging and rewarding, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in progressive music.

POLY-MATH take a more experimental approach to progressive rock. Combining elements of math rock, post-rock, and jazz fusion, Poly-Math creates a sound that is both challenging and engaging, with intricate rhythms and complex harmonies that demand attention. Their live shows are a sensory overload, with dizzying time signatures and mind-bending arrangements that keep the audience on their toes.

THE EMERALD DAWN have been making waves in the progressive rock scene since their debut album in 2014. With a sound that draws on influences ranging from Pink Floyd to Genesis, The Emerald Dawn combines intricate guitar work, soaring keyboards, and lush vocals to create a sound that is both melodic and complex. Their live shows are a feast for the senses, with stunning visuals and a powerful energy that electrifies the crowd.
