Thank you so much Bill Bruford, for telling Rolling Stone about us. What an honor! Read this incredible piece HERE.
"There’s a great band out of Chicago called District 97, who are very good, and they’re here in the U.K. right now. And you know, it’s the next generation of so-called progressive guys who played much better than we ever played."
In the little over a week since the Kickstarter ended, we've received several requests from people who still want to be a part of our new album but missed the campaign. We know you're all busy and maybe some of you didn't get a chance to pledge, so we are allowing last-minute pledges through this Friday, June 15th. Simply take a look at the reward options, find the one you like, and then send the funds HERE.
At last, the time has come for us to make our fourth studio album, and the first with our new lineup. However, we need your help in order for it to happen! Thus, we've launched a KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN featuring some fantastic, exclusive, and often quite limited rewards in the hopes that our amazing fans will partner with us on this endeavor.
Here's a brand new interview with Jonathan about the inner workings of District 97.
We hope 2018 is treating you well thus far!
Jonathan was the inaugural guest on Izze Gibson's first edition of her new podcast, SoundinFive. Jonathan chose 5 songs to listen to and discuss:
The Beatles-Strawberry Fields Forever (Take 26)
The Beach Boys-Surf's Up
KNOWER-Things About You
District 97-All's Well That Ends Well.
Izze asked some fantastic questions. Highly recommended listening!
The above photo was taken at Scout Bar in Houston, TX on February 14th, 2017 by Jim Wilkinson (you can see more HERE). This was the first and only time D97 has played Houston, and I must admit that I didn't really know what to expect in terms of crowd response (I'd never been to TX at all before that day). To my delight, Houston (and Dallas the following night) ended up being a major highlight of our Tour To The Edge.
