Big news! The Kickstarter campaign for our 2016 World Tour is now live at
There have been some major changes for District 97 in the past few months, and it is now time to share them with you all. Rob Clearfield (keyboards) and Patrick Mulcahy (bass) have both parted ways with District 97. The split is amicable and everyone remains on good terms. Luckily, two very talented Chicago-based musicians are ready and eager to join Leslie, Jim and Jonathan in moving the band forward: Andrew Lawrence (keyboards) and Tim Seisser (bass).
Jonathan is nominated in the Prog category of the 2016 Modern Drummer Readers Poll! Please consider taking a minute of your time to vote at http://www.moderndrummer.com/modern-drummer-2016-readers-poll-ballot/. He is in the same category as some of the greatest drummers in the world (Marco Minnemann, Gavin Harrison, Todd Sucherman and Matt Garsika), so we'll need to rock the vote to have a shot at this!
Check out Leslie's interview for Femme Metal Magazine at http://www.femmemetalwebzine.net/2015/09/01/leslie-hunt-district-97-2/.
Here's a brandspanking new interview with Jonathan which talks about the new live album "One More Red Night,", John Wetton and a host of other things. There are also a couple of tracks played in full: http://http://www.blogtalkradio.com/simon-barrett/2014/12/02/the-week-in-reviews--district-97
We're going along with all the Black Friday/Cyber Monday craziness by offering signed CDs at no extra charge for all orders between now and 11:59 PM CT monday, 12/1 at http://www.district97.net/store. Simple select unsigned when checking out. We promise you won't get trampled!
We're in the last few hours of the Kickstarter! If you haven't pledged yet, head over to https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1801575573/district-97s-3rd-studio-album ASAP so you don't miss out on the rewards that will not be available after today. Here's a little message from Leslie (featuring an absurd dance) about the end of the campaign:
When we launched the Kickstarter, we never would have guessed we'd have reached our $12,000 goal in less than a week! It's very inspiring to know that people really want to hear new music from us. Just because we've reached the goal doesn't mean the campaign is over, however.
